Gabriel Axel

Fascinated by inner workings of the brain, Gabriel studied Neuroscience and Cognition at renowned Institutions including Utrecht University, UCLA and Harvard.  His interest in yoga was ignited once he experienced how it exercises body, mind, and spirit. Since then, he has pursued it as a lifestyle that reconciles his love for physical activity with his longstanding desire to go deeper within. Gabriel views yoga as a technology that opens body, mind, and heart to higher potentials, and believes that it can be used as a mirror, to clearly reflect who we are at each moment. His teaching style is at once empathic and challenging, reminding us to honor ourselves and face our fears in order to realize our own transformation.

Since the world is made manifest by individual and collective intentionality, he believes that the sooner we take responsibility for our thoughts, words and actions, the sooner we will empower ourselves and the those around us. With this aim, he espouses an Integral Path of Wholeness, one that takes into account fundamental truths of consciousness and the human condition, and lets the heart lead the way. Gabriel also plays guitar and bass, and he consults on developing integral models and practices of mind, health, technology, and art.
